Yvonne Connolly, who left her job with Deutsche Bank in the IFSC to open Enowine in Monkstown, Co Dublin 18 months ago, returns to familiar territory when her new wine shop opens in the former Cabot & Co premises on Mayor Square next Thursday.

Enowine IFSC will also incorporate a wine bar, opening next month, serving "world tapas", accompanied by 48 wines available by the glass from the self-service Enomatic units. The shop will have 90 wines available for tasting using Enowine's smart card system which allows customers to try before they buy. "There's a real comfort factor in knowing what you're getting," Connolly says.

Another new initiative, Enoinvest, is perfectly located to offer en primeur wines with investment potential, selected by one of Ireland's few Masters of Wine, Jane Boyce, to SSIA-rich punters and the big hitters of the financial world. According to Connolly, the packages, which start at €1,500 for four mixed cases, have already increased in value since she purchased them, but the price she's charging has not gone up. www.enowine.ie.
