Motorcyclist (60s) dies after single-vehicle incident in Co Galway

A motorcyclist in his 60s has died after being involved in a single-vehicle incident in Co Galway on Friday.

The crash occurred on the N65 at Kilcooley, Loughrea, at about 6.25am, a Garda spokesperson said.

The man was taken to University Hospital Galway, where he later died.

The N65 at Kilcooley has been closed pending technical examination by Garda forensic investigators.

Gardaí are appealing for information and for anyone with footage of the area at the time.
