"One Voice for Irish Theatre?" was the motion of the second Theatre Review regional meeting in Firkin Crane, Cork, at the weekend and the many different voices raised to debate it made the point that consensus is far from being achieved in the theatre sector. However, the fruitful exchange of differing ideas which the Theatre Review process has allowed was widely welcomed, by many, as a first step towards the setting up of a representative body.
Saturday's regional meeting is in the Garage Theatre, Monaghan (co ordinator Declan Gorman's home town), from 11.30 am to 5pm. The issues of north south, and international Cooperation will be addressed.
