Children learn problem-solving and team work one brick at a time in Lego Education camps that run throughout the summer at multiple locations in 13 different counties. They cater for children aged from six to 11-plus. 
 
ADVENTURE CAMPS

Weekly or daily, residential or non-residential, Carlingford Adventure Centre has lots of camp options for action-loving youngsters aged six to 17. Activities include zip-line trekking at the Skypark that opened last year, along with body zorbing and outdoor laser combat. 
 
iPAD CAMPS
Various locations in 11 counties, July-August, letsgo.ie
 
Technology and sport is promised in a 70:30 ratio at these Let’s Go camps for children aged between eight and 13, so they won’t be screen-bound all the time as they learn to push the boundaries of creative technology. 
 
SUMMER PANTO CAMP
July 13th-18th, August 17th-22nd uch.ie
 
This new camp might sound a little unseasonal but it will be singing, dancing and acting all the way as pantomime star Richie Hayes puts budding young performers through their paces. Oh yes he will … 
 
RADIO CAMP
University College Cork, June-July, ucc.ie
 
Community radio station UCC 98.3FM takes in youngsters aged 14-17, with an interest in music or in exploring a media career, for a week at a time. 
 
TEEN ACADEMY
Griffith College, Dublin, July 6th-10th and 20th-24th, savvyteenacademy.com
 
No run-of-the-mill teen camp, it’s a “life-skills” course for 16-18 year-olds covering topics such as cyberbullying, careers, finance and physical and mental health, with a range of speakers.
