is an impeccably executed piece of documentary theatre. As such, it is simultaneously contrived and authentic, emotionally manipulative and genuinely affecting, as it recasts “reality” in theatrical form.

Presented by HotForTheatre under the direction of Amy Conroy, the material brings to light the story of an invisible a lesbian couple, Alice Kinsella and Alice Slattery, who are stepping into the spotlight for the first time to publicly acknowledge their love.

On the gregarious Alice Slattery’s list the pros of participating in this unusual theatre project is the fact that “we will be seen”. For the more retiring Alice Kinsella this same agenda is the project’s major con: the sacrifice of the privacy, the intimacy of their love.
