Dickie bows before Ol' Blue Eyes: Dickie Rock brings his popular Tribute To Frank Sinatra show back to the Temple Bar Music Centre on Sunday and Monday (April 11th and 12th). Ol' Rocky will be backed by the Frank McNamara Orchestra for full-on renditions of Strangers In The Night, New York, New York and of course My Way.

The show-band earache: Dickie Rock also takes part in a tribute to Ireland's show-bands, at the Olympia Theatre on May 29th and 30th. Relive the days of The Plattermen, The Miami, and The Dixies in the company of your hosts, Ronan Collins and George Jones. Send 'em home sweatin', says Soundbites.

Thumping great weekend: Goldie, The Freestylers and The Sugarhill Gang are the star attractions on the Bud Thud festival of drum'n'bass, happening in Galway during the May Bank Holiday weekend. DJ David Holmes, dance merchants Bass Odyssey and legendary funkster Grandmaster Melle Mel give this Thud the stamp of quality.

Sneak peek: The cover art of the new Cranberries album, Bury The Hatchet, features a naked guy standing in a field being stared down at by a giant eye suspended in mid-air. The artwork is by Storm Thorgeson, famous for his surreal Pink Floyd album covers. The album is in the shops on April 19th.
