AN ANTIQUE, three stone diamond ring is the centrepiece of O'Reillys's auction of jewellery and silver next Wednesday. The four carat ring is expected to make £6,500-£7,000.
Other lots worth noting include a 3.5 carat diamond solitaire, which is estimated to sell for £7,000-£8,000. A Victorian cross set with diamonds totalling five carats has a catalogue estimate of £3,500-£4,000, and a man's 18ct gold Rolex watch could make up to £4,000.
Among the silver lots a canteen of antique kings pattern cutlery, bearing a London hallmark and made in 1837, is estimated to fetch up to £3,500. The set consists of 12 place settings and 85 pieces in total.
A rare George Ill Irish freedom box, made in Dublin in 1775 by J. Kennedy, has an estimate of £2,000-£3,000. A Cork silver sugar bowl by John Warner could fetch up to £1,200.
