A COUNTRY house sale well worth attending will be held at Prospect House, Sallins, Co Kildare, on Sunday week, March 2nd, at 2 p.m. Conducted by Town & Country, the auction includes a large assortment of Georgian and Victorian furniture, covering everything from cheval mirrors and bookcases to dining room furniture.
Other pieces include a Regency tea table, Georgian bureau bookcases, a set of Regency dining chairs, paintings, porcelain, silver and a generous selection of garden furniture. The early 18th century house, until now the home of artist Timothy Hennessy, was recently sold and almost all its contents will be disposed of in this auction.
