What's the best gig you've been to, and why?Femi Kuti at the Great Escape festival in Australia. Mind-blowing dancing and musicianship.

And the worst?Seeing Bonham open for The Cult in Halifax, Nova Scotia. Jason Bonham had a broken arm. Rip-off!

What are your favourite and least favourite venues? My favourite I've played is Massey Hall in Toronto. Incredible. My least favorite is the Big White Ski Resort outside Kelowna, British Columbia.

Who is the most famous person to have shown up at one of your gigs?Mary Margaret O'Hara.

Most embarrassing on-stage moment? When I referred to Kamloops as being Kelowna.

What's your crowd-pleasing number? (Can I Go) Nowhere With You?

What's the most you've paid for a gig ticket?Springsteen two nights in Philly last year. Couple hundred bucks.

Chatting between songs – good or bad?Good most of the time. The only drag is when it spoils the mood, but I'm not too precious about the perfect ambience.

Groupies – would you?No.

How big is your entourage?Only takes my man, Steve "Snickers" Smith. He rocks the front of house, tour manages and drives.

Have you a special stage wardrobe?Dress shoes that make some noise and a good pair of blue jeans. My red shirt , if I can find an iron, but others if I'm travelling abroad.

Do you like to meet and greet fans after the gig?I enjoy it unless I've completely emptied the tank or my voice is roasted.

If you could be in any other band, which one?Led Zeppelin or Hüsker Dü.
