Inner City Beat!

Every detective or spy needs a theme tune to go with their sleuthing. Inner City Beat! dusts down a slew of them from the archives of British library music companies such as DeWolfe, KPM, Conroy and Amphonic. The collection demonstrates how some short theme tunes and pieces of incidental music also received serious play as standalone tunes. Most of the artists and composers are not too well known, but there's quite a kick and bite to tracks such as Reg Tilsey's Ode to a Stone, the dashing Police Five from the International Studio Orchestra, David Lindup's fiercely funky Men of Action and Syd Dale's The Hell Raisers.
