Some of Ireland’s finest independent musicians are pulling together for a very special cause later this month.

Following news of the mounting crisis in drought-ridden East Africa, promoter Leagues O’Toole was spurred into action after hearing that musician Christy Moore was organising a similar gig in Vicar Street.

Moore will play with old sparring partner Declan Sinnott on September 26th, but a more intimate all-day gig will take place at Whelan’s the day before.

And So I Watch You From Afar will headline ALLIANCE: Independent Artists for Africa. They’ll be joined by Patrick Kelleher His Cold Dead Hands, Tieranniesaur, Toby Kaar, Retarded Cop, Last Days of 1984, Moths, We Are Losers, Funeral Suits, The Former Soviet Republic and more.
