It's all of 10 years since the National Chamber Choir last programmed anything by Gerald Barry (above). And this week it seems to be setting about making amends. The choir is teaming up with the Crash Ensemble for two all- Barry concerts under Paul Hillier. There's a new work, Barry's Schott and Sons, Mainz, for bass soloist (Stephen Richardson) and choir, setting letters from Beethoven to the publisher Schott in Mainz.

Richardson features in a second Beethoven-related work ( Beethoven) for bass and ensemble. The programme also includes O Lord, How Vain, The Coming of Winterand First Sorrow.
