A feast of music and food is promised in Ballymaloe House on the Halloween weekend when the RTÉ Vanbrugh Quartet will perform six concerts in the Grain Store with guest artists Libor Novacek on piano, Sarah Williamson on clarinet and Conor MacCarthy on double bass.

The concerts start on Saturday, October 30th at 11.30am with works by Hayden and Beethoven and continue at 4pm and 8pm, with works by Brahms, Beethoven, Weber and Dvorak. There are three concerts on Sunday, October 31st at 11.30am and 4pm and ending at 8pm with Mozart’s Divertimento K136 and Schubert’s Trout Quintet. There are four packages on offer; the Vanbrugh pre-concert dinner and concert for €70, the Vanbrugh Day Out at €120, which includes three concerts, lunch and dinner; the Quartet Package at €160 per person with two pre-concert dinners and any four concerts; and, topping it all, the Vanbrugh Package, which includes dinner, BB, lunch and all six concerts for €395 per person.
