Heineken Ireland has announced a series of music festivals titled Greenlight.

The events will take place over upcoming bank holiday weekends, starting in Dublin and Cork. Dublin Greenlight will kick off on the May bank holiday weekend (April 30th to May 3rd) featuring 35 live DJ and music acts across 10 venues, while the follow-up festival will take place in Cork on the June bank holiday weekend (May 28th to June 1st).

The Dublin series will be headlined by Tomora, a new music collaboration between Aurora and The Chemical Brothers’ Tom Rowlands, at The Button Factory on May 1st. Tickets to this event will be free.

Elsewhere dance duo Basement Jaxx will play a DJ set at Pygmalion, while The Street’s Mike Skinner will host a set at Wigwam.

Irish music talent will also be represented in the Dublin weekend line-up and includes Irish trad-punk group Madra Salach, garage rockers Sprints, Tallaght rapper Curtisy and DJ Saoirse on decks.

The June Bank Holiday Greenlight session in Cork will feature Inhaler as headliners, with further details and additional acts to be announced.

Fiona Curtin, marketing director at Heineken Ireland said: “We know from our research that Irish consumers today crave social connection and a sense of being part of shared experiences. We’re proud to bring global and local talent into the heart of our cities and to more intimate, immersive spaces creating high-quality live music experiences that fans can truly connect with.”

The first 50 free tickets for headliners Tomora will be available on a first come-first served basis from the Heineken Greenlight ticket office located at 3 Grafton Street on Friday, April 3rd, at 12.30pm. The remaining free tickets for Tomora’s Button Factory gig will be available online via a lottery system at heinekengreenlight.ie.

All other tickets for the May bank holiday Dublin series will be available to purchase from the festival website at 12.30pm on Friday, April 3rd.
