A GEORGE III mahogany-cased bracket clock, made by Ralph Glover of London and dating from circa 1770, sold at last Tuesday's auction conducted by John Dunphy of Sixmilebridge, Co Clare, for £3,800. This was the same price as made by a George III serpentine-fronted mahogany sideboard, while an Irish Regency pine cupboard with four moulded and fielded panelled doors went for £2,100.
Among the pictures, local interest ensured that a watercolour portrait of 19th century Limerick soprano Catherine Hayes sold for £2,400
