Miramax and Focus Features have teamed up to acquire the US remake rights to the clever, gripping French thriller Tell No One(2006). The original was scripted and directed by actor Guillaume Canet, who featured in the exemplary cast led by François Cluzet as a paediatrician suspected of murdering his wife and discovering that she may be alive.

The remake plan makes sense, given that Tell No Oneranks among the most successful foreign-language releases of recent years in the US. The irony is that the film was based on an American best-seller by novelist Harlan Coben, and transposed the original New York setting to Paris.
