THE Grey Door restaurant on Upper Pembroke Street, Dublin, is closing down for refurbishment and the contents will be auctioned on the premises tomorrow by Helen Thornton of Town & Country. More than 200 lots of furniture, paintings and silver plate will be sold, as well as Victorian chimney pieces and the eponymous front door.
There will be several lots of dining tables and chairs as well as glass chandeliers and 19th gilt framed paintings and mirrors. The sale begins tomorrow at 2 p.m.
