A GEORGIAN, mahogany breakfront bookcase dating from circa 1800, with rope twist moulded cornice above four panelled doors enclosing compartments, is expected to sell for £6,000-£8,000 at next Monday's auction at Mullen's of Laurel Park. The sale begins at 7 p.m.

The 315 lots include a number of other good pieces of furniture, such as a 19th century Chippendale diningroom suite (£4,000-£6,000), a harlequin set of 12 Hepplewhite dining chairs, circa 1900 (£2,500-£3,500), another set of chairs, this time eight Victorian examples in mahogany (£2,000-£3,000), and yet another set of eight dining chairs, in oak and carrying the crest of Sir John Craven Carden of Templemore Abbey, Co Tipperary (also £2,000-£3,000).

A 19th century French pietra dura side cabinet carries an estimate of £2,000-£3,000, a French boulle credenza from the same period is expected to sell for £1,200-£1,600, a pair of French bronze ewers, circa 1870, has an estimate of £2,000-£3,000 and a pair of white marble busts of Roman emperors on simulated marble plinths carries a price range of £1,800-£2,200.

Among oil paintings, a 20th century mountain landscape signed A. Lee is expected to make £1,200-£1,600 and a pair of 19th century lakeside landscapes by Anne Taylor £1,500-£2,500. Mullen's will also be conducting a morning backroom auction on Monday, starting at 11 a.m. and featuring almost 350 miscellaneous lots.
