Australia became the latest in a long list of countries to dose its doors to British beef products yesterday because of the BSE scare.

The Health Minister, Mr Michael Wooldridge, said Australia had banned imports of British beef and live cattle eight years ago but was now banning imports of a range of food products which contain components of processed British beef.

Thailand said yesterday it had banned imports of all British beef, milk and dairy products.
