A TOTAL of 64 new jobs would be created in 18 different projects across the food sector, representing an investment of almost £9 million, the Minister for Agriculture, Mr Yates, said yesterday. The projects covered the meat, cereals, potato and livestock mart sectors and were being supported under the FEOGA marketing and processing scheme for agricultural products, Mr Yates added. He said these projects brought to £50.5 million the total investment planned under the FEOGA scheme since the start of 1997, generating some 336 extra jobs.
