Tusa has reduced its MBNA credit card standard variable rate from 17.5 per cent to 15.9 per cent APR. This is one of the lowest credit card interest rates in the market and is a continuation of the downward trend in rates, which was kickstarted last summer with the introduction of the Tesco Visa card. Chief executive of Superquinn's in-store bank, Mr Brian Mahony, said it was Tusa's policy to offer its customers the most competitive rates possible. The fifteenth Tusa outlet will open in the new Superquinn shop in Limerick in October.
