Trinity Venture Capital has invested £450,000 (€571,000) for a 25 per cent stake in Irish Regional Information Systems (IRIS), a software and information services company which has developed a national database to help companies increase sales by specific targeting of consumers.

The former owner of the Harry Moore retail chain, Mr Stephen Cloonan, has also invested in IRIS and becomes chairman of the company.
