You could see the potential when Sony unveiled its Wonderbook last year. One peripheral, thousands of stories – if the content was right. With the latest book, it may just have hit on a winning formula. Sony has teamed up with the BBC to offer Walking with Dinosaurs, an interactive trip to a past. The book gives children a chance to take part in a dig site right in their own living room, as paleontologists unearth evidence of the big beasts. There are different dinosaurs to learn about and study up close, from the triceratops and the stegosaurus to the more dangerous predators such as the tyrannosaurus. You learn about everything from their food to their physical make-up. It also has a link up with the 3D film, allowing users to catch up with Patchi and Juniper. Although it's aimed primarily at kids, there's a lot to learn from Walking with Dinosaurs, even for adults. Interactive education at its best.
