New Tech Post
BOOKMARK: About a year ago John Breslin, a researcher at Deri at NUI Galway and co-founder of Boards.ie, got together with former television current affairs producer Tom Murphy, to blog about the tech world at socialmedia.net. The sideline has now morphed into a fully fledged web publication and recently rebranded as newtechpost.com, where you'll find daily articles on the future of the web written in a manner that's accessible by non-geeks.

READ: Did you know there's a "negativity bias" to e-mail? If the content is neutral, the recipient assumes the tone is negative.

SearchReviews on iPhone or your Android smartphone
INSTALL: There are lots of websites that aggregate customer reviews on the web but, for those of us who are not that disciplined about our shopping, what do you do when faced with a bargain when out shopping?
SearchReviews would seem to have the solution with an iPhone and Android app which pulls up reviews based on pictures of barcodes you have snapped on the shelves. Now there's no excuse for buying that dud netbook that was just too cheap to pass by.
