Tech tools: OnePlus3 smartphone

OnePlus is known for its flagship smartphone that packed high-end specs into a mid-range price tag, the OnePlus One.

The follow-up may not have generated quite the same level of enthusiastic coverage, but it still caused a stir.

The OnePlus 3, however, is now available to order, and it could be that fabled third-time charm.

At €399, it comes with fast charging, a 16 megapixel camera and 6GB of RAM into the aluminium unibody case, with a 5.5in Amoled display (which can make colours brighter). It is powered by a Snapdragon 820 processor and promises bloat-free Android; given OnePlus’s previous phones, we believe the company.
