New generation of iKettle gets Alexa integration

Tech Tools: Smart kettle adds smart home capabilities

Remember the iKettle? The kitchen appliance that you never knew you needed, allowing you to boil your kettle without even being in the room? The company behind it, Smarter, has brought out a third generation of the device. Now not only can you boil your kettle from anywhere in the world – a compelling concept in itself, no? – but now you can rope Alexa into it. The iKettle will integrate with Amazon's technology, allowing it to work with other Alexa-enabled devices. And of course, you can order Alexa to boil the kettle. It also comes with the ability to set a specific temperature for the kettle, and set times for the kettle to automatically boil so it's ready when you wake up or get in from work.
