SILVERMINES chief executive Mr Clem Jansen received a total remuneration package of £155,711 last year - made up of a salary of £131,250, a bonus of £18,822 and other benefits of £5,639. This compares with a total package of £136,933 the previous year.

Finance director Mr Lloyd Trinkoff's total package increased from £68,168 to £84,199 made up of a salary of £74,200, bonus of £5,133 and other benefits of £4,866.

Non executive chairman Mr Bob Morton received fees of £32,000 while the other five non executive directors received fees of £15,000 each. These non executive directors include Bord na Mona chairman Mr Pat Dineen and Irish Permanent director Mr Peter Ledbetter. Mr Dineen, however, is not seeking re election at the coming annual general meeting.

Virtually all of Silvermines' activities and its tax residence are now in Britain and the company reports in sterling.
