Seasonal reminder of buyer rights

Ho, ho hold on a minute. Although the festive season is a stressful time, consumer rights never take a holiday. The European Consumer Centre is urging consumers to keep a few simple tips in mind:

check store policy on exchanges if you are unsure about a gift;

keep receipts;

act promptly if you are unhappy/dissatisfied with goods;

check safety standards of toys and christmas tree lights;

check the terms and conditions on gift tokens;

shop responsibly, do not overspend.
