ESAT Digifone last night welcomed the Government's appointment of the Telecom Regulator, Ms Etain Doyle, saying that the decision was "long overdue". The move was urgently needed to address the wide range of regulatory issues which liberalisation of the market had brought, the company said. It was important that the regulator became a truly independent voice, Digifone added.
