In an effort to bring some order to pending millennium bug mayhem, an Irishman has established a Y2K Compliance Register. It will chronicle details of company testing programs and compliancy status. Mr Tom Doyle says the information will act as a reference for customers, suppliers, insurers and other interested parties.
The registration form can be found at www.y2kcompliance-register.com, and the cost of registration per company is £500 (€634). Though there are no companies listed yet, Mr Doyle is planning to make the register an international reference book. Individuals wishing to view the compliancy status of companies will be charged £20 (€25.4) per certified report.
