Boots, the chemist chain, has appointed Mr Clive Stanley as regional general manager for Ireland. A qualified pharmacist, Mr Stanley, has worked with Boots since 1979 in various management positions in Northern Ireland and Britain.
The enterprise development organisation, Genesis Marketing Communications, has appointed Mr Sean Fitzpatrick and Mr Tony Hughes as directors.
They joined the company in September 1997 as senior consultants and were previously employed as project managers with Vision, the Dublin-based IT and business consultancy.
The tourism consultancy firm, Tourism Development International, has appointed Mr Robert Travers, as associate director. Ms Sara McGeary joins the company as a consultant in the Belfast office, while Mr Mark O'Boyle is joining the company as senior research executive.
Ms Aileesh Carew has been appointed general manager of the new Radisson SAS St Helens Hotel in Booterstown, Co Dublin. The five-star, 151-bedroom hotel opens on August 17th. Ms Carew spent three years managing the Hotel La Residencia in Mallorca for the Virgin Hotel Group.
Mr Pat Cullen, a tax partner with Deloitte and Touche, is the new president of the Institute of Taxation of Ireland for 1998/99.
Mr Cullen has worked with Deloitte and Touche for several years and started his career in 1979 with Haughey, Boland & Company.
Gallic Distributors, the Citroen importers for Ireland, has made three new appointments as part of its expansion plans. Mr Niall Cos- tello and Mr Philip Cullen become area sales managers, while Ms Shona Keogh takes over as marketing executive.
Commerical and industrial architects, Duffy Mitchell, has appointed Mr Brian McClean as a member of its management team.
Mr McClean will have responsibility for project design and management.
