One Direct, the financial services subsidiary of An Post, has added two new products to its motor loan, credit card and life assurance portfolios. Term life assurance and travel insurance are now part of the range of products on offer through the Athlone-based national call centre.

They bring to nine the number of products available through One Direct.

The travel insurance product is underwritten by Hibernian and provides holiday or travel cover on a trip-by-trip or annual basis. The term life product is underwritten by New Ireland and offers insurance cover up to a maximum of £150,000 for five periods from five to 40 years for all individuals between the ages of 17 and 70. The cover carries a minimum premium of £10 per month.
