Oil prices edge higher

World oil prices edged slightly higher yesterday extending a modest recovery following a price plunge that has wiped $10 off a barrel of crude over the past three weeks. Dealers said the market was finding some support from a disruption to Iraqi oil exports and signs that the OPEC producers' cartel may be readying to restrain output if prices should head any further south.
