The Chairman of Waterford Crystal, Dr Patrick Galvin, has been appointed chairman of the governing body of the National College of Industrial Relations (NCIR) in Dublin.
The governing body of the Ranelagh institution is comprised of a partnership of employers, trade unions, the Jesuit order, and college staff and students.
Dr Galvin, a fellow of the NCIR, is also a member of the court of directors of the Bank of Ireland, and chairman of the Doyle Hotel Group. The NCIR, which has 3,500 students, also offers its courses through 35 off-campus locations around the State.
