His final show last season sparked a round of speculation that he was about to retire, but new octogenerian Gay Byrne returns to RTÉ Lyric FM as usual this October, and RTÉ Media Sales has put the call out for a sponsor.
Sunday with Gay Byrne, which is scheduled from 2pm to 4pm, can be sponsored for six months for a fee of €12,000.
The show features “the very best in traditional jazz, big band and swing”, and Gaybo himself, of course.
