Kenmare expands two operational areas

KENMARE Resources has expanded its operations in Mozambique and Yugoslavia

KENMARE Resources has expanded its operations in Mozambique and Yugoslavia. It has secured title over two additional licences in the Niassa province of northern Mozambique which cover 100 square kilometres and represent a "significant increase of its coverage of the gold bearing greenstone belt, according to Kenmare.

Kenmare has signed an agreement with Gemini, a Yugoslav semi state geological group, for exploration and development of gold properties in Yugoslavia. Kenmare has noted that a major gold/copper bearing geological belt runs through Bulgaria and eastern Yugoslavia and that several operating mines lie on this belt. The licence area covers 65 square kilometres. The agreement gives Kenmare a majority shareholding and operating control
