Dublin-based firm 4th Millennium has been awarded the contract to supply one of its software packages, called DocuStore, to French electronic document management firm Docubase.

Docubase will use the software as the front end for its electronic storage system, which is used by clients such as Nivea, L'Oreal, and the Pentagon.

The Irish firm's software package is a multi-language, sophisticated character- recognition package, which turns machine-printed or hand-printed, images and barcodes into data.
