Industrial turnover in transportable goods rose by 2

Industrial turnover in transportable goods rose by 2.8 per cent in August 2001 when compared with the same month in 2000, according to the latest data from the Central Statistics Office (CSO).

The unadjusted figures for June to August 2001, when compared with the same three-month period in 2000, showed a rise of 10.3 per cent for consumer goods and 6.7 per cent for intermediate products. A fall of 5.2 per cent was recorded for capital goods.
