IBM said yesterday it had agreed to supply Cisco Systems, , the major Internet equipment maker, with network technology, components and computer services in a five-year deal initially valued at $2 billion (€2.11 billion). Officials of both companies said IBM would sell its flagging network equipment business to Cisco over the next year.
