CAR sales may be booming, according to the latest figures from the Society of the Irish Motor Industry (SIMI) but, at the top of the market, some are clearly doing better than others.

August sales figures from SlMI show 94 Mercedes Benzs and 84 BMWs being sold - but just four Lexuses and not a single Jaguar. Clearly the Mercs and Beemers are on top and the new Jag is out of favour by the movers and shakers.
