Gordon & Associates has been appointed public relations consultant for the merged Irish Life & Irish Permanent. The pitch was between Mr Ray Gordon's small consultancy and Bill O'Herlihy PR which already had the PR account for the Irish Permanent. Mr Gordon has been the PR for Irish Life for the past four years. He was formerly an in-house public relations officer with Irish Life. He took the business with him when he established his own firm two years ago.
However, not only did Mr Gordon take the contract for Irish Life & Permanent plc's corporate public relations, he also won the PR account for the Irish Permanent which O'Herlihy PR had held for the past 10 years. O'Herlihy's extensive PR and marketing activities includes a broad sponsorship portfolio ranging from international sporting events to RTE programmes.
