Law firm in Dunne bankruptcy seeks payment

company files application with the Connecticut court

The law firm of the US court-appointed trustee overseeing Sean Dunne’s bankruptcy proceedings has sought payment of $58,200 (€2,340) for professional work carried out on the case.

Timothy Miltenberger of the New Haven law practice Coan, Lewendon, Gulliver & Miltenberger filed an application with the Connecticut bankruptcy court seeking payment for representing Rich Coan, a partner in the firm who was appointed trustee to Mr Dunne after the Co Carlow developer filed for bankruptcy in March 2013 with debts of $942 million.

Hourly rate
The filing discloses that Mr Coan charges an hourly rate of $385, Mr Miltenberger a rate of $350 a hour and Timothy Lewendon, another partner at the law firm, $175 a hour.

The firm told the court that it spent seven hours in a conference with representatives of the National Asset Management Agency from Ireland regarding Mr Dunne’s assets and liabilities in May 2013.

Listed on the court-filed bill was another charge relating to six hours spent preparing for and participating in interviews of third parties in New York City, also in May of last year, regarding the assets and conduct of Mr Dunne between 2009 and 2013.
