A new multi-million pound three-year contract has been awarded by Eircom to Maybin Property Support Services which will mean all payphones will now be cleaned at least once a week.

The contract will create an additional 65 jobs at Maybin bringing their staff in the Republic to 1,000 and Ms Fiona Tierney, head of card and payphone services at Eircom, said that "the introduction of a professional comprehensive cleaning service is a key to the successful operation of Eircom's payphone business."
