EBS Building Society has become the third lender to cut its fixed interest mortgages rates this month, with reductions of up to 0.75 percentage points to apply from today. New and existing variable rate customers can avail of the new fixed rates. The one-year rate has come down to 5.65 per cent from 6.25 per cent, a cut of 0.60 percentage points. The three-year rate has been reduced by half a percentage point to 5.85 and the four-year rate drops from 6.7 to 5.95 per cent. Irish Permanent and First Active cut their fixed interest rates last week.
