The Dow Jones Industrial Average closed down 184.86 points, or 2.04 per cent, at 8,879.68 last night. Losses market worsened in the last hour of trading on concerns over the world economic situation and the concerted lowering of interest rates in Europe. The closing price was lowest for the Dow Jones average since November 12th.
