The 1998 MBA class at Dublin City University has launched plans for a major business strategy seminar " Creating the Future" at the university on September 25th.

The seminar brings Prof James Brian Quinn and Dr Gary Hamel, two of the world's leading strategy experts, together with chief executives and senior executives to discuss the changing nature of competition.

Prof Quinn is based at Dartmouth College in Hannover, New Hampshire and is a leading international lecturer and consultant, who has published a number of best-selling business titles.

Dr Hamel, joining by video conference link, works in the London and Harvard Business Schools. Hailed by The Economist as "the world's reigning strategy guru", he has published the influential title "Competing for The Future".

Irish speakers include Dr Chris Horn, chairman of Iona Technologies; Mr Ron Bolger, chairman of Telecom Eireann and Mr Gary McGann, chief financial officer of Jefferson Smurfit Group.
