Avonmore Creameries Ltd now controls more than 50 per cent of the public company, Avonmore Foods plc, the group said last night.

The move came after various resolutions were passed in December by the shareholders and the board of directors of the company, the net effect of which was to redeem some 100,000,000 `B' shares held by Avonmore Creameries and reissue them as ordinary shares.
