A financial consultant, Mr Patrick Foote (50), with an address given as 46 William Street, Limerick, was remanded on continuing bail to June 10th when he appeared at Limerick city court yesterday.

Mr Foote is charged with 61 counts under the Larceny Act 1916 and the Forgery Act, 1913. The offences are alleged to have occurred in 1996 and 1997.

Garda Inspector Mr John Murphy, prosecuting, asked for extended time for the preparation of the book of evidence.
