The number of company failures for the year to date was up by 22 per cent, to 483 from 396 on the same period in 1997, the business information company, Dun & Bradstreet, stated yesterday. Mr Camillus Farrell, a director of the company, said that the trend reflected the buoyancy of new company formations from 1992 to 1995.
