Financial post for AIB man

Siteserv appointmentAlan Doherty, managing director of AIB Corporate Finance, has been appointed chief financial officer of Siteserv.

He will replace Niall Devereux, who is joining Topaz as chief financial officer.

Mr Doherty joined AIB Corporate Finance in 1992 and has advised on over €20 billion worth of transactions over the last five years. Prior to his career with AIB he worked for Goodbody Stockbrokers and Arthur Anderson, where he trained as an accountant.

Siteserv was bought by Denis O’Brien earlier this year for $45.2 million. As part of the deal, the Irish Bank Resolution Corporation (formerly Anglo Irish Bank) agreed to take a hit of more than 70 per cent on €150 million in outstanding debt.

Mr Doherty takes up his post in January.
